Manjeshwar: Miscreants place stones on rail tracks

Manjeshwar: Unidentified miscreants placed stones on the railway track between Manjeshwar-Uppala railway station suspectedly to cause train derailment.

It is gathered that the Mangalore-Manjeshwar Malabar Express train ran over the stones placed on the track but luckily there was no derailment.

Kasaragod railway police and Railway Protection Force personnel rushed to the spot and an investigation is underway.

In the past, several such instances, including stone pelting have been reported from this area coming under the jurisdiction of Bekal and Hosadurga police station limits.
