MCC removes illegal construction near Kankanady Junction

Mangaluru: In accordance to a court order, an illegal construction near Kankanady Junction in the city was demolished by the MCC authorities with police protection.

There was a dispute between the shopkeepers here and the MCC  since  the past few years, and the building in question housed vegetable and fruit shops. although the MCC had issued orders to vacate the building the owners had  challenged it  in the court and presently, the  shops stand  demolished as per the court  orders.
