MESCOM Powerman dies of electrocution on duty

Puttur: A 26-year-old Powerman Basavaraj working for Mangalore Electricity Supply Company (MESCOM) has died due to electrocution while on duty.

As per the reports, in the incident that took place at the Parpunja village, Basavaraj was clearing the tree branches. At this point in time, he had accidentally touched the powerline. He had died immediately.

It is understood that Basavaraj was a resident of the Bagalkot district and was working for the past several years in MESCOM.
