In one complaint, Bondala Chittaranjan Shetty alleged that Chaitra used language that could inflame communal hatred during a keynote address delivered at a community awareness program organized by Bajrang Dal – Durgavahini at Surathkal on October 4.

Surathkal resident Abdul Khader filed the other complaint at the Surathkal police station against Chaitra’s alleged communally provocative speech.

In the speech, Chaitra had drawn a similarity between the actions of those involved in recent moral policing incidents to the heroic actions of the legendary Koti and Chennayya.

The complaints claim that parts of Chaitra’s speech had the potential to ignite the communal passions and hurt the feelings of reverence held towards local legendary heroes.
