A Mangaluru-bound container truck got stuck near the Aneja bend on the Sarapadi-Manihalla Road, close to Allipade, after taking a route suggested by Google Maps.

The truck, originating from Bijapur and traveling on the Bengaluru-Mangaluru highway, was redirected by Google Maps to take the Uppinangady-Ajilamogaru-Manihalla route to reach Mangaluru. This alternative route was suggested due to ongoing highway construction.

However, the Sarapadi-Manihalla road is unsuitable for heavy vehicles. The Aneja bend is particularly dangerous, requiring vehicles to maneuver back and forth multiple times to navigate the turn. The truck in question managed to move forward but could not reverse, resulting in it being stuck.

Due to this traffic on this stretch was affected and buses traveling on the Sarapadi-B.C. Road had to use alternative routes, causing inconvenience to the residents of Sarapadi and Maninalkur village.
