In Burhanpur, Madhya Pradesh, a replica of Agra’s Taj Mahal has been built as a luxurious residence. In the same way that Shah Jahan built the renowned monument as a sign of love for his wife, this structure was likewise a present to the man’s wife.

The replica took three years to create.

According to an article in India Today, Anand Chokse, the man behind the project was always drawn to the Taj Mahal and wondered why it wasn’t created in his city.

This thinking compelled him to follow suit. His Taj Mahal-inspired four-bedroom home is an identical duplicate of the Taj Mahal. Chokse meticulously examined the real Taj Mahal.

For the carving inside the house, the Burhanpur resident enlisted the services of artists from Bengal and Indore during the construction phase.

According to the article, the house’s dome stands at 29 feet tall and includes Taj Mahal-style turrets. In addition, the replica house’s floor is built of Rajasthan’s ‘Makrana,’ and the furniture is produced by Mumbai artisans.

The house has a large hall, two bedrooms on the first floor, two bedrooms on the second floor, a library, and a meditation room.
