Of the four accused in the case, Lokayukta officials have already completed questioning of three individuals. Questions now arise regarding when Siddaramaiah himself will be called for interrogation.

On Friday, Lokayukta officials questioned Siddaramaiah’s wife, Parvathi, to gather additional information. Sources suggest that the Chief Minister could receive a notice for interrogation after the Diwali festival.

Other key figures in the case have also been summoned and questioned, including BM Parvathi (second accused), Mallikarjunaswamy (third accused), Devaraju (fourth accused), complainant Snehavani Krishna, MP Kumar Naik of Raichur, former Minister Bache Gowda, and retired IAS officer Subramanya Rao.

Lokayukta SP TJ Udesh, who is leading the investigation, stated that issuing a notice to Siddaramaiah remains at the discretion of the investigation team.

“When and if we issue a notice, it will be communicated. The timing and approach of the questioning will be determined accordingly,” he said.

The Lokayukta Police are still deliberating whether to conduct the investigation at Siddaramaiah’s location or request him to appear before the Lokayukta officers.

The SP noted that the investigation is progressing within the stipulated timeframe set by the representatives’ court, with an additional 60 days remaining to complete the probe.
