Mudigere: Former Minister Motamma said that people are waking up to the need for change. Those who were facing difficulties are now more aware. “Even the BJP realizes that lies don’t work anymore,” she added.

During a Congress election campaign meeting in Mudigere, Motamma stated, “The BJP criticizes Congress’ guarantee schemes in Karnataka but ends up copying them. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s deceitful tactics are losing traction. People are starting to question and think for themselves. If BJP argues that forgiving farmers’ loans will bankrupt the government, won’t forgiving Rs 11 lakh crore loans for corporate groups bankrupt the country?” she questioned.

Moodigere MLA Nayana Motamma attacked H D Kumraswamy for his controversial comments about women. “Former Chief Minister Kumaraswamy’s statement that women have gone astray due to the benefits from guarantee schemes is shameful. It’s an insult to the women of our state. Our women have been contributing to temples and investing in Hundis for their peace of mind. We must respond appropriately to Kumaraswamy’s statement on the 26th of this month,” she opined.

“In the last assembly elections, the people of Mudigere constituency strongly supported Congress. Former MLA Jayaprakash Hegde had only 20 months in office but performed exceptionally well. He deserves another chance. I will strive to implement state schemes effectively. Similarly, we need capable leaders to secure projects from the centre. Jayaprakash Hegde can handle this task efficiently. Therefore, we should elect Hegde to improve our constituency,” Nayana Motamma added.

Former BJP MLA turned Congress member M P Kumaraswamy remarked, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s popularity is declining. Young workers are leaving BJP to join Congress, which is a positive development. It’s crucial for the future of our country that people support Congress now. Modi, who enriched Ambani and Adani, now tells us to chant the Ram mantra. Unemployment is rampant, and the youth are desperate. People need to wake up before the situation turns into a disaster.”

Congress candidate for the Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Lok Sabha seat, K. Jayaprakash Hegde, stated, “You supported us in the past, and we accomplished development work in a short span. Now, when people seek votes, they are warmly welcomed. People desire change. So, unanimously for the Congress.”
