Murder: Khudaadaad Masjid pres. dies without responding to treatment

Bengaluru: Ayyub Khan, the husband of former corporator of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Najima Khan, who was allegedly stabbed by his nephew Mattin Khan, died on Thursday.

As per the reports, Ayyub who was serving as the president of the Khudaadaad Masjid at Tippu Nagar for the past 15 years wanted his son to become the president of the masjid next year. This is said to have come to the notice of Mattin Khan.

Sources say that six months back, Mattin had quarreled with Ayyub to make him the president. He had threatened him with the dagger. But Ayyub had not informed the police.

On Wednesday night at around 8 PM Mattin had come to Ayyub’s house and had created a ruckus. Meanwhile, he had stabbed Ayyub with a dagger.

Severely wounded Ayyub was rushed to the nearby hospital.

On Thursday, Ayyub died after failing to respond to the treatment.

Currently, Mattin has been arrested.

As per the interim reports of the investigation, Mattin had got into a brawl with Ayyub and his family with respect to a property dispute and president post in the masjid.
