Bellary: The dead bodies of nine individuals who tragically lost their lives in the Mysore accident were laid to rest through a mass cremation in Sanganakallu village.
The last rites were performed with Veerashaiva rituals, as pits were meticulously prepared in a single line within the Veerashaiva Rudrabhoomi of the village, allowing for the simultaneous burial of the deceased.
Transported from Mysore in four ambulances, the bodies were initially placed for public viewing in the house yard, granting relatives and well-wishers an opportunity to pay their final respects.
Many attendees offered garlands, bowed down in reverence, and took a final glimpse of their loved ones.
