Suratkal: In a new development for travelers, the Bengaluru-Mangaluru train route has been extended to include the picturesque town of Murdeshwar, a popular tourist destination in Uttara Kannada district. The train now departs from Bengaluru at 8.15 pm, arriving in Mysore at 11.20 am. It then proceeds to Mangaluru, reaching at 8.30 am, and Udupi at 10.40 am. This extension offers seamless access to numerous tourist destinations, including Barkur, Kollur, Bhatkala, and Murdeshwar, making it a cost-effective choice for day-trippers and families.
