Kasaragod/Mangaluru: As COVID-19 cases in Karnataka breached the 15,000 mark, with 292 active cases of Covid-19 in Dakshina Kannada, the Kasaragod district administration dumped mud to block all the roads leading to Karnataka. As per sources, twenty roads leading to Karnataka were blocked in Manjeshwar, while four roads were blocked in Adhur, three roads in Badiadka, and two roads in Rajapuram. Meanwhile, Kasaragod district collector D Sajith Babu clarified that they have not blocked any new roads. Earlier, Karnataka had blocked the road by dumping mud, but it was removed by the sand mafia and those who smuggle in people. Now as the COVID cases are increasing in Dakshina Kannada the Kasaragod district administration decided to blocked those roads again. As of now, the pass facility is available only at Thalapady. In Dakshina Kannada, there are 292 active cases of Covid-19, with 44 new cases reported on Tuesday.
