He had fever and headache after he got drenched in rain and googled the symptoms. Fearing Nipah, he got himself admitted at Manipal and then later he was shifted to Wenlock. He had no symptoms or direct contact. His sample was sent to the National Institute of Virology, Pune on Monday, September 13. The result is awaited.”
Talking about Covid-19 cases in DK, he said, ” Dakshina Kannada has a 1.57 positivity rate. There are 1,604 active cases. Case fatality rate is 1.13.”
” Second PU classes were started on September 1. On September 17, classes will be held in the morning for 9th and 10th standards and afternoon classes for 8th standard. We will soon take a decision regarding degree classes for the 5th and 6th semesters. Practical classes have started now,” he said.
