No plans to reinitiate suspended towing policy: Araga Jnanendra

Bengaluru: Home Minister Araga Jnanendra informed that the state government has no plans to reinitiate the towing policy that was suspended a few months ago.

A press release in this regard from the home minister stated that the government is planning to come up new people-friendly parking facility with the city.

The issue is being discussed with Chief Minister Basawaraj Bommai and a final decision in this regard will be taken soon, the release added.

The minister recalled that after a Bengaluru traffic police personnel physically and verbally assaulted a differently-abled woman, state government had decided to suspend the towing of vehicles from no-parking zones in the city until it comes up with a revised policy. “We have no plans to reinitiate the same towing policy again,” he added.
