Noted Kannada actor and theatre artist M Raviprasad dies at 43

Mandya: Kannada actor and theatre artist M Raviprasad (43) passed away on Wednesday, September 14, evening due to prolonged illness.

He was admitted to a private hospital in Bengaluru and was under treatment. As he failed to respond to the treatment, he breathed his last on Wednesday.

Raviprasad, son of literarian Dr. H S Muddegowda is survived by his wife, son, mother, and two sisters.

Meanwhile, his father has informed that the last rites will be performed at Kallahalli Crematorium in Bengaluru at 1 PM on Thursday, September 15.

Raviprasad had entered the field of acting through the ‘Geleyara Balaga’ of Mandya and ‘Janadani’ theatre team and made his way to the serial and film industry.

Although he had completed his post-graduation course MA in English and LLB, he was passionate about acting.

In the year 1996, he had begun his career in acting through theatre and made his debut in “Mahamayi”, a soap opera directed by T S Nagabharana.

Later, he acted in serials like, “Minchu”, “Mukta Mukta”, “Chitralekha”, “Yashode” etc.

He was well known for his role as Chandu Bhargi in Kannada TV serial “Magalu Janaki”.
