Bengaluru: Noted Kannada writer K.V. Tirumalesh, died on Monday in Hyderabad. He was 82. Tirumalesh was suffering from age-related ailments.

He was born in 1940 in the village of Karadka in Kasargod district. He holds a master’s degree in English literature and a doctorate degree in linguistics.
He is considered one of the most versatile writers across genres, as well as a man with diverse interests.
Known largely as a poet, he received the Sahitya Akademi prize for his groundbreaking work Akshaya Kavya, which he termed as “a long narrative sans story or aim.”
