‘Operation Kamala’: Community leaders in Sagar, Shivamogga join BJP

Shivamogga: With just a few months remaining for the Karnataka Assembly elections, BJP has started the groundwork in Shivamogga. After Soraba, Shikaripura, now prominent community leaders of Sagar and Shimoga constituencies have joined the BJP.

K S Prashant of Sagar and famous pediatrician Dr. Dhananjaya Sarji joined the BJP in a program held at the Shivammogga district BJP office on Sunday.

Former Minister K S Eshwarappa, MP B Y Raghavendra, MLAs Ayanur Manjunath, D.S. Arun, S. Rudregowda, and BJP district president T. D. Meghraj were present during the induction ceremony.

K S Prashant, who is the son of former Member of Parliament K G Shivappa, had worked for the Congress earlier as a young leader in Sagar. Political pundits believe the inclusion of Prashant into the BJP will strengthen the party in Sagar due to his involvement in social activities.

As a pediatrician, Dr. Dhananjaya Sarji is famous in Shivamogga city and surrounding areas.
