On Saturday, hundreds of women and men from nearby hamlets welcomed the seer with chants of “Rama Mantra” and a ceremonial forest procession.

Following the procession, Swamiji engaged with tribal communities and organizations during a discussion session. He listened to their grievances and accepted written petitions from the villagers. The seer assured them of support through the resources of the Matha and pledged to bring some issues to the government’s attention.

Ongoing Support from the Matha
Recalling the contributions of the late Sri Vishwesha Teertha Swamiji, locals highlighted the Matha’s longstanding support for the development of forest-dwelling communities. The seer also emphasized the importance of providing quality education and inculcating values among children. He blessed the attendees and assured them of the Matha’s continued involvement in their welfare.
Symbolic Offerings from the Forest
During the event, MLC Shantharama Siddi drew the Swamiji’s attention to the challenges faced by forest-dwelling communities. The villagers expressed their gratitude for his visit, which brought them joy and hope. As a token of appreciation, the villagers performed a traditional “Padapuja” and presented forest produce such as honey and fruits, beautifully arranged in handmade bamboo baskets.
This visit was initiated by local organizations and residents following reports of Naxal activity in the region. Swamiji’s presence brought reassurance and encouragement to the tribal community.
