After the bilateral meeting with the host, Modi will travel to Myanmar. Modi will also hold bilateral meetings with other leaders, including Russian President Vladimir Putin and President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi of Egypt, which is among the five counties — Mexico, Guinea, Thailand and Tajikistan — invited by China as part of the BRICS Plus outreach exercise.
Earlier, upon arriving here on Sunday to attend the summit, Modi said: “I look forward to building upon the results and outcomes of the Goa summit. I also look forward to productive discussions and positive outcomes that will support the agenda of a stronger BRICS partnership under the chairmanship of China.”
