Prime Minister Modi addresses WCIT via video conference from Mysuru

Mysuru: PM Narendra Modi addressed the representatives amid the inaugural function of the World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT) – 2018 which was held in Hyderabad, from Mysuru on Monday.

The PM was in the city to inaugurate few projects in Mysuru and attend the Bahubali Mahamastakabhisheka in Shravanabelagola. He landed in the city on Sunday night and remained at Hotel Radisson Blu, from where he addressed the representatives of WCIT through video conference. According to the sources, the PM addressed to the members for almost 20 minutes.

During the Video Conference, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that India has developed as a powerful country in digital advancement and is an innovation friendly country. “The innovation industries have extended and the government is emphasizing on digitization, by giving necessary facilities. Advanced India isn’t only an government venture but also part of the people of the nation. With the projects, the government plans are achieving the genuine benefits with no trouble. A couple of projects have been chalked out to educate the rural public about digitization,” Narendra Modi said.

Telangana Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao, Minister for Information and Technology Ravishankar Prasad and CEOs of various companies witnessed the video conference.
