Vidhana Soudha Police arrested the accused — Iltaz, Munawar, and Mohammad Nashipudi — for pro-Pakistan sloganeering.

Police have sent several video clips to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in connection with the case.

Supporters Syed Naseer Hussain allegedly shouted pro-Pakistan slogans in the corridors of ”Vidhana Soudha” after his victory in the Rajya Sabha elections, an incident which triggered a political slugfest between the ruling Congress and BJP.

The opposition launched a scathing criticism against the Congress government over the incident.

Opposition BJP and JD(S) have demanded the Congress government’s resignation for its ”inaction” in nabbing the culprits who allegedly shouted the ‘Pakistan zindabad’ slogan, and also accused the administration of trying to cover up the issue.

The BJP has demanded that the Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot recommend dismissal of the government.
