Puttur: 5-year-old dies after being hit by car

A young student tragically lost his life in Keyyur after being struck by a car while crossing the road on Saturday.

The victim, identified as Muhammad Adil, a 5-year-old UKG student, son of Haris Darimi, a resident of Keyyur.

The incident unfolded in the evening as Muhammad was crossing the road in proximity to his school. Tragically, he was struck by a passing car, resulting in severe injuries.

Immediate action was taken, and the gravely injured boy was rushed to Puttur Hospital for emergency medical care. Subsequently, he was transferred to Mangalore Hospital for specialized treatment. However, despite all efforts, Muhammad Adil succumbed to his injuries and tragically passed away at Mangalore Hospital.
