Puttur: Man commits suicide by jumping into well; Depression suspected

Puttur: A 50-year-old man committed suicide by jumping into a well near Mahalingeshwar Temple, Puttur on Thursday, December 30.

The deceased has been identified as Manohar Prabhu, a resident of Darbe, Puttur. It is said that Manohar was suffering from depression and it is suspected to be the reason behind the extreme step.

Locals found Manohar’s chappal and vehicle near the well and informed the police officials.

He is survived by his wife and two children.
