Rain Alert: Widespread rain expected in K’taka coastal districts until July 25

Bengaluru: The rainfall is expected to decrease across most parts of Karnataka over the next five days. However, widespread rain is predicted in the coastal districts, with a yellow alert issued until July 23.

The Indian Meteorological Department’s Bengaluru division director, C.S. Patil, stated that there is a high probability of reduced rainfall intensity throughout Karnataka over the next five days. Yet, coastal districts may experience widespread rain until July 25.

A yellow alert has been declared for Uttara Kannada, Udupi, and Dakshina Kannada districts until July 23.

Heavy rainfall is likely in some areas of Belagavi, Bidar, Kalaburagi, Yadgir, Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru, and Kodagu districts. In Bengaluru, light rain is expected sporadically until July 25.

There is a possibility of isolated heavy rain and continuous wind speeds reaching 30-40 km/h in the Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada, and Udupi districts.
