Rajyotsava awards 2019 list released

Bengaluru: The state government on Monday announced Kannada Rajyotsava awards for 64 people in their respective field for their distinguished work. The awardees are as follows: Literature: Dr Manjappa Shetty Masagalli. B. Rajashekarapapa, Chandrakanth Karavalli and Dr Saraswathi Chimagalli. Theatre: Parashuram Siddi, Pal Suidarshan, Hooli Shekar, N. Shivalingaiah, Dr H.K. Ramanath and Bhargavi Narayan. Music: Chote Rehamat Khan, Nagavalli Nagaraj, Dr Muddumohan and Srinivas Udupa. Folklore: Neelagararu Doddagavisiddappa Manteswami Paramapare, Holabasaiah Dundaiah Sambalada, Bheemsingh Sakaram Rathod, Usman Sab Khadar Sab, Kotresh Chennabasappa Kotrappanavara and K.R. Holsalaiah. Sculptor: V.V. Deshpande and K. Jnaneshwar. Art: U. Rameshrao and Mohan Sitanoor . Sports: Vishwanath Bhaskar Ganiga, Chenanada Kuntappa and Nanditha Naganagoudar. Yoga: Vanithakka and Kushi. Yakshagana: Sridhar Bhandary Puttur. Bayaluatta and film: Y. Mallappa Gavai and Shylashree. Short films: Jayakumar Kodaganoor Academics: S.R.Gunjal, Prof. T. Shivanna, Dr. K. Chidananda Gowda and Dr Gururaj Karjagi. Journalism: B.V. Mallikarjunaiah Cooperation: Ramesh Vaidya Social Service: S.G. Bharathi and Kattige Chennappa. Agriculture: B.K. Devarao and Visveshwar Sajjan Environment: Saaalumarada Veerachar and Shivaji Chatrappa Kaganikar. Medicine: Dr Hanumantharaya, Dr Anjanappa, Dr Nagaratna, Dr G.T. Subhash and Dr Krishnaprasad Judiciary: N. Kumar. Non-resident Kannadigas: Jayanth Manolli, Gangadhar Bevinakoppa and B.G. Mohandas Cottage Industries: Navaratna Indudhar Critic: K.V. The Rajyotsava Prashasti or Rajyotsava Awards is the second-highest civilian honour of the Karnataka state of India which is conferred annually by Karnataka Government on the occasion of the establishment of the state on 1 November celebrated as the Kannada Rajyotsava.
