This year, one lakh first-year undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds across all States and Union Territories of India applied for the prestigious Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships. The selected scholars, hailing from diverse backgrounds and academic disciplines across India, will receive a financial aid, mentorship, and holistic development opportunities. 670 out of 1300 institutions and 590 out of the selected 5000 students are from Karnataka, making it the leading state in the programme.
This year, around 70% selected scholars are from households with income less Rs. 2.50 lakhs. The scholarships will cover tuition fees, hostel expenses, and other educational costs, enabling these bright minds to focus on their studies without financial constraints.
In addition to the grants, Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships offer comprehensive support, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to scholars.

The application status is categorised as ‘Shortlisted’, ‘Waitlisted’ and ‘Not Shortlisted’.
Reliance Foundation offers scholarships of up to Rs 2 lakhs for undergraduate students. The scholars also benefit from a comprehensive support system that includes mentorship from industry leaders and experts to guide them through their academic and professional journeys. Scholars also have access to workshops, seminars, and training programmes designed to enhance their technical and soft skills besides develop leadership qualities. They are also encouraged to contribute to society by participating in social initiatives and volunteer work.

The Dhirubhai Ambani Scholarships launched in 1996, and Reliance Foundation Scholarships launched in 2020 have reached over 28,000 youth across India till date helping them pursue higher education from premier institutes, take leadership positions and boost their professional growth.
In December 2022, on the 90th birth anniversary Reliance’s Founder-Chairman Shri Dhirubhai Ambani, Mrs Nita Ambani, Reliance Foundation Founder & Chairperson, announced additional commitment of 50,000 scholarships over the next 10 years, making it India’s largest private scholarships. Since then, 5,100 students have been awarded scholarships every year.
