Mysuru: The tiger safari and other eco-tourism activities at Bandipur national park, which had been suspended in view of the major forest fire that had erupted in the region, is all set to resume from today (March 1).

Nearly 10,000 acres of forest land was destroyed in the forest fire that erupted on February 23. The blaze was finally doused with the coordinated efforts of the Indian Air Force, the district fire brigade, forest guards and locals after nearly four days.

As the fire has been completely doused now, the department has decided to start tourism-related activities again,” said a forest department official at the reserve.
