Nearly 10,000 acres of forest land was destroyed in the forest fire that erupted on February 23. The blaze was finally doused with the coordinated efforts of the Indian Air Force, the district fire brigade, forest guards and locals after nearly four days.

As the fire has been completely doused now, the department has decided to start tourism-related activities again,” said a forest department official at the reserve.
