Bengaluru: Primary and Secondary Education Minister S Suresh Kumar said that Samveda e-classes for students of Class 5th, 6th and 7th will be broadcast on DD Chandana channel under the auspices of the Public Education Department. "Due to the delay in the reopening of schools due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Samveda e-classes will be extended to the 5th, 6th and 7th class students,'' he said. "The Department of State Education Research and Training (DSERT) has released a schedule of video lessons for maths, science, social sciences, first language Kannada, second language English and third language Hindi for classes 5, 6 and 7," Kumar added. Classes will air Monday through Friday from 8 am to 9.30 pm and 5.30 pm to 6 pm. The minister said that 4 lessons each day would be conducted for 30 minutes each for 2 hours. "These e-classes are scheduled for 5 weeks and will be held till December 25. The e-classes will air from Monday to Friday from 8 am to 9:30 pm and 5:30 pm to 6 pm. Every day 4 lessons of 30 minutes each will be conducted. Primary school teachers will be in charge of the programs," the minister said. "Deputy Directors in every district have been instructed to ensure that these lessons reach out to the children and take necessary measures for it," he said. Presently, Samveda e-classes are already underway for classes 8, 9 and 10.
