Sharannavaratri celbration conclude with Vijaya Dashami festivities

Mangaluru / Udupi: The nine-day Sharannavaratri festival concluded in a grand note on Wednesday with the celebration of the Vijaya Dashami festivities.

Religious programs and rituals such as Chandika Havan, Saptashati Parayana, Durga Havan, and Durga Namaskar among others were held on all nine days of Navaratri at temples dedicated to the Devi.

In various temples of Mangaluru city, the grand Navratri Mahotsav, which started on September 26, ended on Wednesday. The Navratri festival of Kudroli Kshetra popularly known as Mangaluru Dussehra concluded with a grand procession on Wednesday.

Vidyaramba, Tulabhara was held on Vijaya Dashami at Mahatobhara Sri Mangaladevi Temple. Celebrations held in various temples including Kateelu, Polali, and Bappanadu also concluded on Wednesday.

The maiden Grand Dasara celebrations of Uchila Sri Mahalakshmi Templeconcluded in a grand manner. The Sharada idols were taken in a grand Shobha Yatra before immersing them at sea.
