Shirva: Dead body of girl child found dumped at lake in Belle

Shirva: In a tragic incident, the dead body of a girl child was found on the morning of May 6 in the Tirlapalke government lake under the jurisdiction of Belle village panchayat.

The body was discovered by Belle Gram Panchayat President Sudhakar Poojary. Upon reaching the site, Pujari found the body of the girl lying on the side of the lake.

It is suspected that the kin of the child may have dumped the body near the lake with the intention of disposing it secretly.

Based on the complaint filed by Poojary, a case has been registered at the Shirva police station. Further investigations are underway.
