Shirva: Deer killed in bike collision; Biker sustains serious injuries

Shirva: A bike hit a deer crossing the road at Shankarapura here, killing the wild animal on the spot. The bike rider also sustained serious injuries.

The injured biker is identified as Harshit, 20, a resident of Bantakal. He was rushed to the Udupi’s district hospital in Ajjarakadu for medical treatment.

Forest officials have visited the site and inspected it.
