The fourteen-years-old boy from Pilar village in Shirva was pursuing 7th std education at Kalmanja primary school in Bantwal taluk had procured his TC and remained absent to the school. Since there is law for compulsory education, the headmaster of the school informed the same to the child helpline based on the permanent address of the student. The information was then forwarded to Shirva police by the child helpline.
Without any delay, Shirva PSI Khader, along the probationary PSI and the station staffs found the boy, convinced him to continue his education, admitted him to a residential school and thereby prevented the teenager from going to work.
In his letter to the higher officials, the PSI has informed that the boy has been admitted to a school in Shirva, provided accommodation and the future of the boy will also be looked after.
