Shivamogga: Miscreant uses JCB to rob ATM, flees on seeing cops

A miscreant’s attempt to rob an ATM, located near Shivalaya under Vinobanagar police station limits, using a JCB on Tuesday night was foiled by the patrol police.

The incident took place at an Axis Bank ATM. The accused had allegedly stolen a JCB which was parked at a nearby petrol pump and used it to rob the ATM. However as the patrol police arrived on the scene, he fled the spot leaving behind the JCB.

The police tried to nab the miscreant but he managed to give them the slip.

The police took the stolen JCB into their custody and registered about the incident. A search is in to nab the accused.
