Shocking! Woman's suicide takes a dark turn; Husband arrested for her murder

Raichur: In a startling turn of events, a woman’s death took a grim twist as it was revealed that her husband had killed her and tried to pass it off as suicide.

The deceased, Soni (24), hailing from Hatras in Uttar Pradesh, was found dead hanging at Santhoshi Lodge in the city on Wednesday morning.

According to police, Soni and Avinash had fallen in love and had moved to the city a year ago after their marriage.

About 20 days ago, Soni gave birth to a child. As Soni underwent surgery during childbirth, she was suffering from health problems. Because of this, her husband Avinash turned abusive. He consistently berated her, especially for not taking proper care of their child.

The investigation revealed Avinash had killed Soni, and hanged the body to make it look like a suicide.

The suspect has been arrested, and the orphaned newborn has been entrusted to a care center, said Superintendent of Police Nikhil B.
