Shree Devi Institute of Social Work Celebrates Silver Jubilee and Launches Alumni Association

Mangaluru: The Shree Devi Institute of Social Work celebrated its silver jubilee with grandeur and inaugurated the Shree Devi Institute of Social Work Alumni Association at the Shree Devi Institute of Technology campus, Kenjar, Airport Road, Mangalore.

The event was graced by chief guest Dr. Rameela Shekhar, a distinguished mental health professional from Manashanthi and Retired Dean of Roshni Nilaya. In her address, Dr. Shekhar emphasized the importance of fieldwork and a strong foundation in social work principles, underscoring their role in developing effective and efficient professionals.

A special felicitation ceremony was held to honor the Chairman of Shree Devi Education Trust, Dr. Sadananda Shetty, and Vice Chairman, Mr. Nidhish S. Shetty. The honors were presented by Alumni Association President, Mr. Rathan Rai, and Secretary, Mr. Balakrishna Bhate.

The celebration also included an interactive session where alumni shared their professional experiences, inspiring the current batch of students. Adding a cultural touch to the event, current students showcased their talent through vibrant traditional dance performances.

The event was attended by Social Work Principal, Ms. Abhitha S., faculty members, alumni, and students, making it a memorable milestone in the institute’s journey.
