Siddaramaiah belongs to Kumbhakarna clan: Ananth Kumar

Bengaluru: Union Minister H N Ananth Kumar on Saturday mounted an assault on Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, calling him an individual from the Kumbhakarna clan.

The taunting comment came during the Bengaluru Rakshisi padayatra in BTM Layout.

“Siddaramaiah does not have a place with Kauravas, but rather to the Kumbhakarna family,” Ananth Kumar stated, alluding to the legendary character from Ramayana who was known to sleep a lot. The Chief Minister has been seen sleeping on stage in a many meetings and programmes. On March 16, World Sleep Day, the BJP arranged a notice indicating Siddaramaiah snoozing on a throne.

Kumar additionally assaulted the Congress following former union minister M Veerappa Moily’s tweet – he later repudiated it – hammering the party’s procedure of choosing applicants. “The Congress’ motto is Mane Manege Congress, yet tickets are offered just to the homes of its leaders. The Congress has just merchants and no leaders and ticket appropriation is done by different groups made by Siddaramaiah in each district.”

Further, he hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for “working 24×7 for 132 crore Indians” and said Siddaramaiah and Congress worked “just for the Gandhi tribe.”
