Sirsi girl secures 2nd place for cancer research paper at THSTI

Sirsi: Sugandha Narayan Naik, a resident of taluk’s Narayan Guru Nagar has made the state and the nation overall proud, as she has secured second place for her cancer research paper and presentation at the Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI), Faridabad, New Delhi.

She presented her cancer research paper before Dr. Rajesh Gokhale, Secretary for the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India, and Dr. Vinod Paul, member of the NITI Ayog.

Sugandha is the daughter of Late Narayan Naik, who was working in the Northwestern Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC), and Shashikala Naik, a teacher at Government Model Higher Primary School Sirsi No. 3.

She is an IIT Mumbai graduate.
