Six-year-old boy can rattle off names of 224 Assembly constituencies

Shivamogga: Indrajith of Shivamogga, is a six-year-old kid who can rattle off the names of all the 224 Assembly constituencies in Karnataka with ease. The Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) campaign of the Election Commission has declared him as the district icon.

To enhance the polling percentage the SVEEP campaign has been launched. Deputy Commissioner, M. Lokesh informed the reports that a video clip of Indrajith telling the names of the 224 constituencies has been prepared. In the video, the boy appeals to the people to cast their vote without fail to strengthen democracy.

The video clip would be screened at the awareness programmes that would be held as part of the SVEEP campaign, added Mr. Lokesh.

Indrajith is a first standard student at Royal Diamond School at Vinobha Nagar locality here. Indrajith’s father, Shivakumar, is a teacher, while his mother, Asha, is a home-maker.

Mr. Shivakumar said Indrajith is gifted with an amazing memory and grasping power. He had memorised the names of the Assembly segments over the past three months, he added.
