Under the guidance of Tabla teacher Pandith Santosh Kulkarni, who has trained approximately 35 students ranging in age from 3 to 63, the students performed on stage, accompanied by vocal performances by singers including the Hindusthani Vocal teacher Mr. Prasad Poojar. About 3 students studying in Indian colleges joined only for Taal Yatra, which is a popular signature event of SDC.
Prominent community leaders including the current President of Karnataka Sangha Qatar Mr. Ravi Shetty and former president Mr. Arun kumar, ICC Vice President Subramanya Hebbagilu and former President Mrs. Milan Arun, Billawas Qatar President Sandeep Salian, Maharashtra Mandal president Mr Rakesh Waugh, heads of schools, representatives from the Turkish cultural center and corporate leaders, were in attendance. The host, Mrs. Sushma Harish, specifically commended Managing Director Mr. BabuRajan for his support and encouragement of Hindustani music at the center.
