Skull, bones of man gone missing 6 months ago identified

Vittal: A person’s skull, bones, and a cloth piece have been recovered by the police from Nekkarekadu of Kasaba village.

The remains found have been identified to be of a person named Nagesh Gowda (65), resident of Ukkudu’s Kantadka, who reportedly went missing six months ago. A complaint had been filed at the Vittal Police Station in this regard.

On Monday (August 8) evening, a person who had been to a hilltop to collect firewood noticed the skull, bones, and a cloth piece. He immediately informed the Vittal Police.

While investigating they found a missing complaint on Nagesh. Later, when the police called his son to the spot for identification purpose and he confirmed that the remains was that of his father.

Meanwhile, it is learned that Nagesh was working at a house and used to pass from the Nekkarekadu area. However, the cause of his death is yet to be ascertained.
