Sporadic rains at many places in Karavali

Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts received moderate to good rains on the evening and night of Saturday, November 24. The rains were due to the drop in the air pressure in Bay of Bengal.

In Mangaluru city, the rain started around 8 pm and good rainfall was also witnessed in Dharmasthala, Beltangady, Guruvayanakere, Moodbidri, Puttur, Uppinangady, Venoor, Punjalakatte, Bantwal, Sullia, Bellare, Subramanya and Mulleria.

There was moderated rainfall in Udupi city, Karkala, Hebri, Bajagoli, Muniyalu, Ajekar, Hosmar and Shirlalu while Halady, Goliangadi and Belve received good showers.

According to the weather report by the meteorological department, the karavali and some parts of south interior of the state will receive good rain accompanied by thunder and lightning till Monday, November 26. However, the dry weather in the north interior parts of the state will persist.
