SSLC girl commits suicide by self-immolation, dies on the way to hospital

Tekatte: A girl studying in SSLC committed suicide by self-immolation at her house in the Kumbhashi Gram Panchayat jurisdiction on Monday.

Ananya (13) is the deceased girl, who was studying at Padukere Government High School.

As per the reports, the girl had committed suicide on Monday morning, by pouring kerosene and setting herself on fire. She was partially burnt.

Though she was immediately rushed to the nearby hospital, through Tekkate Friends ambulance service, she had reportedly died on the way.

Meanwhile, the reason behind this hasty step is not known.

Kundapura Police has visited Ananya’s residence and have assessed the situation.
