This unique medicinal treatment involves breathing steam passing through a hose that is connected to a pressure cooker creating the steam.

Medicinal herbs such as neem leaves, tulsi leaves and eucalyptus leaves are boiled with water in the pressure cooker.

It is reported that breathing this herbal steam cures breathing difficulties keeps nasal air passages clear of bacteria and viruses.

Inspector Jyotirlinga Honakatti is credited with introducing this medicinal treatment at police stations. He had set up the first such facility at Belagavi when he was posted there.
