The Anti-Naxal Force (ANF) initiated a search operation in the area after receiving this information.

The team, consisting of two men and two women, posed as forest department personnel and purchased various groceries from a local shop. They claimed that four more colleagues were present nearby, although their presence could not be verified.

In response to this development, the ANF deployed 60 members to conduct a thorough search in the vicinity, including the use of a dog squad and drone cameras.

This incident has reignited concerns about Naxal activity in the region, especially with Lok Sabha elections approaching. Law enforcement officials, including Kodagu SP Ramarajan and ANF DySP Raghavendra, visited the site to gather information.
