Surathkal: Toll gate cabin collapses due to heavy winds and rain

In a harrowing incident caused by heavy winds and torrential rain, a toll gate cabin collapsed. No one was injured in the incident, however, a scooter rider had a miraculous escape.

The toll gate, once a bustling hub for commuters, now stands abandoned and forgotten, with no one taking responsibility for its maintenance and upkeep. Months have elapsed since the toll gate’s closure, and it seems that no efforts have been made to address the growing dangers posed by the collapsed cabin and scattered debris that obstruct the road.

Inside the now-defunct toll center, the situation is becoming increasingly perilous for motorists who traverse the area daily. With heavy winds and rain wreaking havoc, the toll cabin, unfit for use, has crumbled, creating a treacherous obstacle right in the middle of the road.
