Bengaluru: The city Cyber Crime Police arrested a teenager for sharing the pirated movie link of Sudeep starrer Pailwaan movie on his Facebook timeline.
The arrested is Rakesh Virat (19), a resident of Bengaluru.
He was arrested by the police for sharing links of Pailwaan full movie on his Facebook handle, on the day of its release.
The accused is being further interrogated to learn if his act was a result of hatred towards Sudeep and his film, or if he did it for monetary reasons.
Swapna Krishna, Pailwaan's producer, had approached the Cybercrime team a few days ago and had filed a complaint with this regard. She submitted 3,000 links to the pirated version of Pailwaan.
It may be recalled that Sudeep and Darshan's fans had indulged in a Twitter war over Pailwaan leak.
