Karwar: Konkan Railway is playing a key role in the integrated development of tourist destination on the picturesque beaches of Goa. It has opened new frontiers for Indian tourism as the places of tourists’ interest on the Western coast now have better access.

To reach these beautiful destinations, Indian Railway offer a very comfortable and luxurious journey by introducing Tejas Express over Konkan Railway, which makes your journey memorable.

To boost the development of tourism on Konkan region, Union Minister for Railways   Suresh Prabhu has taken a decision to start India’s first full AC Luxury train called “Tejas Express”. This Luxury train has modern facilities on-board like LED TV, wide windows to enjoy the natural beauty of coastal Konkan.

The Tejas Express operate between Mumbai and Karmali (Goa) five days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday) during non-monsoon period and three days a week (Monday, Wednesday and Saturday) during monsoon from June 10 to October 31.

During monsoon season, this train leaves Mumbai at 05.00 hours in the morning and reaches Karmali at 15.30 hours and during non-monsoon at 13.30 hours. The train is having the scheduled stoppage at Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Ratnagiri and Kudal stations.
