Thalapathy Vijay played key role in actor Nassar’s son’s recovery

Chennai: Veteran actor Nassar recently revealed how Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay became a pivotal figure in his family during a difficult phase in 2014.

Nassar’s son, Nurul Hasan Faizal, suffered severe injuries in an accident and was in a coma for 14 days. “When Faizal regained consciousness, the first name he asked for was Vijay, not his parents. Initially, we thought he meant a friend, but my wife, a psychologist, realized he was referring to actor Vijay,” Nassar said in an interview with Madan Gowri.

To aid Faizal’s memory recovery, the family played Vijay’s songs and movies. Upon learning this, Vijay visited the hospital multiple times and even gifted Faizal a guitar, knowing his interest in music.

“Vijay holds a special place in my and Faizal’s life. He went beyond his role as an actor to support my son’s recovery,” Nassar added.

On the work front, Vijay was last seen in Leo and is preparing for Thalapathy 69, his final film before fully entering politics.
