Benny from Thokkottu, Rakesh from Kumble and Shrijith from Puttur surrendered before the police on Tuesday, December 3 while Rakshith had surrendered earlier on December 1. The accused reportedly wanted to settle scores with Sudarshan for uploading a video of a girl, who used to travel in the same train as he did, on social media and causing embarassment to her. Reportedly Sudarshan had made recordings of the girl from Thokkottu with another boy. The girl had lodged a complaint in this regard with Ullal police and had also informed Rakshith. Later, Rakshith invited Sudarshan to a shrine of a Daiva near Kuthar for settlement of the issue. Upon SUdarshan's arrival he took him to his rented house near Madyar and along with his associates murdered him. They disposed the body in the bushes in front of a cashew factory in Kapikad and informed police about the murder. Ullal police are investigating the case.
