Top corruption allegations: Bommai, Janardhan Reddy on the list

Bengaluru: In response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s pledge to reclaim any ill-gotten wealth, the Congress party has launched a scathing counterattack, targeting BJP leaders allegedly involved in various corruption scandals.

In a tweet titled “Bhrastachari First” the Congress listed several prominent BJP figures accused of corruption.

Among those named were Karnataka mining tycoon Gali Janardhana Reddy and former Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai.

The tweet highlighted a range of alleged corruption cases, linking each accused leader to specific scandals.

Union Minister Narayan Rane was implicated in a land scam, while Himanta Biswa Sarma and Suvendu Adhikari were associated with the Sharada scam. Other BJP leaders on the list included Shivraj Singh Chouhan, allegedly involved in the Vyapam scam, and Basavaraja Bommai, tagged as the “pay CM.” Additionally, Praful Patel was linked to the Air India scam, Raghubar Das to the T-shirt scam, Hasan Mushrif to a 1500 crore scam, Ajit Pawar to the irrigation scam, Pema Khandu to a Rs 2000 crore scam, and Gali Janardhana Reddy to the Rs 35000 crore scam.
